DUARTE, CA - Continuing its commitment to serve the Nation's, business, education and health care communities, Delafield Corp. is proud to report that Hamdy Youssef, Quality Manager, has been appointed by the Dept. of Commerce to serve as a volunteer Examiner to the 2003 Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The Award, created by public law in 1987, is the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive.

The board is composed of approximately 400 leading experts from industry, professional and trade organizations, education and health care organizations and government. As an Examiner, Youssef, will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating applications submitted for the Award.

Delafield's President, Mr. Nik Ray, commented on the positive aspects of Delafield's participation: "I strongly supported Hamdy Youssef to contribute his expertise toward helping American companies achieve success last year and continue to support him this year as well. Plus, our involvement offers a direct benefit to us. As part of Hamdy's participation in the program, he receives excellent training in understanding and applying the criteria of the Baldrige National Quality Award.
