MABANK, TX (February 23, 2009) -- The first phase of a three-phase expansion plan for Delafield Corporation's Mabank branch was officially completed today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by employees, Mabank city officials, and members of the Greater Cedar Creek Lake Chamber of Commerce. Also present were family members of former branch manager Larry Lee, who died in 2006. They drove seven hours to see the new building that was dedicated in his memory.

Nik Ray, the company's president, called the new facility "exquisite.... This is the most modern structure we have. It's impeccably done." The state-of-the-art 12,000 square foot building vastly increases the 5,500 square foot area that the original Quonset hut has provided Delafield Corporation during the past decade. The new space boosts the company's total working area in its four branches to 100,000 square feet. Visitors are greeted by metal sculptures that show off the hose and fittings manufacturer's capabilities -- each was fully cut and polished with the company's in-house equipment.

The remaining phases of the expansion plan call for two more structures: one located between the current buildings and another to replace the original Quonset hut.
