DUARTE, CA (April 15, 2010) -- In order to meet the petroleum, petrochemical, and natural gas industries' specific quality requirements, Delafield Corporation is pleased to announce its plan to become an API Spec Q1 Registered Organization as well as its intention to achieve ISO/TS 29001 certification, both by the end of 2010. API Spec Q1 is administered by the American Petroleum Institute (API), while ISO/TS29001 is administered by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO); these certifications would be in addition to Delafield’s current certification to ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100B.

More and more, the oil and natural gas industry is requiring suppliers and contractors to meet its requirements by maintaining a quality management system (QMS) certified to its sector-specific quality management standards. Even more stringent than the ISO 9001 standard, both API Spec Q1 and ISO/TS 29001 include supplementary requirements in areas such as training, design and development, verification of purchased product, identification and traceability, and measurement of the product. With these new certifications, Delafield will be able to reach new markets while still providing the same level of superior service and products it has for the past 60 years.
