Delafield Corporation's Duarte Location Becomes API Spec Q1 Registered Organization and Attains ISO/TS 29001 Certification
DUARTE, CA (June 16, 2011) -- Building on its tradition of leadership in quality compliance within the Power and Energy industries, Delafield Corporation announces that its main facility in Duarte, CA, has been successfully registered to API Spec Q1. Certification was conducted by APIQR on behalf of API. The scope of the certification covers the “Design, Manufacture, Service and Installation of Electro-Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Valves, Hoses (Including API Std 1529 Aviation Fueling Hoses), Fittings and Other Related Components for the Oil, Petrochemical and Natural Gas Industries”.
“This is a very big step for our company, as it gives us a competitive advantage and strengthens our international recognition as many international Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical customers now expect their key suppliers to have API Spec Q1 certification,” said Nik Ray, President of Delafield Corporation.
Delafield Corporation was also successfully assessed against two additional standards in parallel with API Spec Q1: ISO/TS 29001, which covers the quality management systems of product and service supply organizations in the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries; and ISO 9001:2008. API Spec Q1 is administered by the American Petroleum Institute (API), while ISO/TS 29001 is administered by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
