Nominal Hose ID (Inside Diameter) in Inches: |
| This column lists the Inside Diameter sizes of the corrugated metal hose. Each size is a nominal inside diameter expressed in inches. |
| Number of Braids: |
| This column shows the number of wire braid covering(s) required for the indicated pressure ratings. |
| Pressure Ratings: |
| The maximum working, maximum test and burst pressures for each hose size shown are based on assemblies with welded on fittings for stainless steel hose, and brazed fittings for bronze hose assemblies. The ratings are in PSIG @ 70 degrees F. |
Maximum Working Pressure @ 70 Deg. F: |
| This is the maximum operating pressure to which a hose should be subjected. These ratings represent the application of a 4:1 safety factor against nominal burst pressure. For installations involving pulsating or surge pressures, the peak pressure should be limited to 50% of the maximum working pressure. |
| Maximum Test Pressure @ 70 Deg. F: |
| This is the maximum pressure to which a straight hose may be subjected without causing permanent deformation of the inner core. |
| Burst Pressure @ 70 Deg. F: |
| This is the pressure at which a hose assembly can be expected to rupture. |
| Bend Radius Constant: |
| This columns states, in inches, the minimum bend radius to which a hose may be bend when installed in conditions of controlled motion that occur on a regular or intermittent basis. |
| Bend Radius Static: |
| This column indicates, in inches, the minimum bend radius to which a hose size may be bend when installed in conditions of no movement other than infrequent vibrations. |
| OD (Outside Diameter): |
| This column lists the Outside Diameter size of the corrugated metal hose. Each size is a nominal outside diameter measure in inches. |
