Delafield Obtains ASME Section VIII Certification

DUARTE, CA (November 1, 2013) – Delafield Corporation has reached another milestone by obtaining ASME U-Stamp certification after meeting the guidelines set forth in ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) Section VIII Division 1.

In order to obtain ASME U-Stamp certification, Delafield Corporation underwent extensive inspections of internal procedures and fabrication processes at several levels of the organization. This included overview of design calculations; certification of ASME-approved materials; certification of welders; and multiple reviews by an independent ASME-authorized inspector of assembly, inspection, and non-destructive testing of final products. Products accepted by the authorized inspector bear the appropriate stamped symbol on a nameplate affixed to each vessel.
